In preparation for our Italy Trip, I just bought a new camera, a Nikon Coolpix P4.
I’m liking it so far, and one of the cool geeky features is the ability to do a timelapse movie. It will take a picture every 30 seconds (or longer, unfortunately not very configurable) and then stitch them all together into a QuickTime movie. It shuts off the display between shots to save battery life, as well.
A fully charged battery is lasting about 5 hours in this mode.
I pointed the camera out my office window on April 21st.
